Starting Pre-school

In the first days a child who is tense or unhappy will not be able to play or learn properly, so it is important for parents and pre-school staff to work together to help the child feel confident and secure within the setting. This takes longer for some children than others and parents should not feel worried if their child takes a while to settle in.

What To Wear

In order to feel free to explore and experiment with all kinds of materials, including messy ones, it is best to send children dressed in clothes which are washable or not new and suitable for the weather conditions. Plimsolls are worn in the pre-school and Wellington boots for outside.

Collecting your child

For your own satisfaction and your child's safety please ensure that if you are not personally collecting your child the person who will be is made known to staff members.

Munchkins Pre-School recognises parents and carers fundamental role in their child's early years education and invite parents /carers to contribute to their child's Learning Journey Record by informing the staff of any significant events that happen outside the pre-school, e.g. outings, riding a bike for the first time, holidays, visits to family and friends, tell us about what they have achieved.

YOUR OPINIONS ARE VALUED.
